Chapter 8

Surprisingly they heard someone singing loudly and it seem to be coming towards their direction.

A young lady came by and greet them as she was about to proceed with her journey, Tang tang who already took a liking to the lady asked her to please wait and give him some directions.

 Tang tang being a smart one quickly started a conversation.

"Hello angel", tang said with smile all over his face.

"Good day Mr the young lady replied.

"May I know your name? Tang tang requested.

 "I don't tell my name to strangers, but anyways I'm Ru you from Avag village" she replied politely.

"I'm Tang tang from ciafa village."

 Gui Shan was amazed by Tang in approaching the lady.

"Uhmm... I think we're heading the same direction" Tang said.

"I don't think so I'm heading to Nirong village for the Guiyi academy entrance examination, Ru yuo replied.

"Great! that's where we are also headed." tang said picking his bag to continue the journey.

 "I can't lead the way for two grown-up we better work on the same pace" Ru yuo opened up.

The three youngster continued their journey to Nirong village on the way they talked about themselves. They arrived at mulang village, which had an inscription by the passage that read, 

"home for all."

Ru yuo met the inn keeper which was a middle age man. 

"Good day sir my friend and I would like to bouck two rooms.she requested as tang said Gui Shan joined her. 

"Good day young lady, the last room herr cost about 100 copper coins, are you still going for the two. the inn keeper replied.

On hearing the cost of a room. Gui Shan and Tang Tang were surprised as it was quite expensive when compared to their village.

"We only took 200 copper coins 🪙 for the journey and we are about to spend half of it." Gui Shan said out of shock. 

"I will pay the bills Ru yuo said paying 200 copper coins 🪙 to the inn keeper. 

At this moment, what flooded in Tang Tang mind was the idea that fate had brought both him and Ru yuo together. 

The inn keeper quickly showed them their various homes which were opposite each other. the entered their various rooms and bade each other a good night rest.

In the room, Gui Shan is seen lying on the bed while Tang Tang is seen walking around the room with many thoughts flowing through his mind.

Indeed fate has been set into motion and the wheel of fate has started spinning very fast.

At this moment, all Tang Tang could think of was Ru yuo. mean while, Ru Yuo has taken a liking to Gui Shan.

While Gui Shan still see her as a new friend whom they are yet to understand fully. 

They next day Tang called for room service the inn keeper came looking shabby and knocked at their door

 "How many I help you boys", the inn keeper asked.

"we want some boiled water to take our bath."

 "I'll bring it shortly the old man said. 

Before the old man left, Gui Shan took notes how the old man countenance change he recall on their arrival the old man was healthy but now he look sickly.

 He went out and he sew the old man in a pitiful state as he struggled to get the water from the fire pot. 

"are you okay old man? Gui Shan asked.

"No just feeling a little tired, I need some rest." the old man said.

Gui Shan quickly took the water pot from the old man and headed for his room. He went straight to his room dropped the water pot and sat on a stool.

"Tang tang, I can deeply sense that something mysterious is going on here." Gui Shan said.

Tang tang what would that be? Gui Shan explained everything he told tang that something fishy.

"I'll do a proper investigation on this matter, he said.

They both went to check on the inn keeper the went to his room and found his condition much worse then before. Gui Shan promise to look after the inn keeper till he is fully recovered.

The old man thanked Gui Shan for his kindness and promised not to collect any dime from them anytime the lodge in his inn.

 Gui Shan pleaded with Ru yuo to bear with them for few more days being an understanding follower, she agreed on staying.

 The three youngster worked to their bones to ensure all the travellers and visitor are properly take care.

 He decided to pay grandmaster a visit to ask about the current situation, this time he meditate while on his bed and he met grandmaster.

"young warrior you looked trouble, what is the problem grandmaster ask.

Gui Shan narrate about the strange illness of the inn man.

Grandmaster told Shan that an evil aura is present in the village and is the responsible for the illness. Gui Shan woke up in reality.

The next day he checked on the old man seeing and his condition was worse he quickly want out to get a physician. 

He sew the villagers he then discovered that the old man was n't the only person suffering from that illness.

"He asked around and was directed to a famous physician, he was told that only the physician was able to cure the illness and many people'Ve died because they could n't meet up with the financial demand."

Gui Shan traced the home of the physician and told him about the old man condition, the physician follow him and prescribed some medication.

He told Gui Shan that for the treatment to be completed he needed half earnings of the inn, would be given to him.

Gui Shan pleaded that the inn was the only means of survival for the old man but the physician refuse to treat the old man.

 When the physician left, Gui Shan carefully followed the physician to his house without being notice.

 He want back and told his friend about what happened between him and the physician.

At night Gui Shan arrived at the physician residence he stood close to the window where he could have a good view he waited for an hour then he hard some footsteps he sew a stranger enter into the house of the physician.

He carefully listened to their conversation. He heard the strange saying;

"These are the antidote to the poison." 

The physician has been the one poisoning the villagers and curing them. immediately the physician left he sneaked to the room he quickly got the bottle of antidote. But before he left, he leave a proof he poured some poison under a bench and took the antidote and some poison as evidence.

He ran like never before till he got to his room in the inn, Tang tang quickly opened the door as if they were waiting for his safe return.

"I 've the antidote, Gui Shan said with excitement.

"What antidote? Tang tang asked

"The villagers were poisoned same with the inn keeper." Gui Shan said. 

When the physician discovered that all his goods disappear he was worried but calmed himself, thinking there was no evidence that would Link him to the crime.

Gui Shan later explained all what happened to his friends. the both entered the old man room , Gui Shan took a pill and put it in the old man mouth.

 The inn keeper gotwell in few minutes. He then narrate about the antidote and exposed the Evil physician.

the old man was happy and thank Gui Shan and his friend.
